Inside a Kursilo Makeover: From First Visit to Handover

By Kursilo Studio 4 min read

What actually happens when you hand over your keys? A step-by-step look at how a Kursilo makeover moves from a conversation at the material table to the moment you sit in your finished cabin.

Handing over a car you love is an act of trust. You deserve to know exactly what happens while it is with us. So here is the journey, step by step, the same way we explain it to every client who walks into our Kirti Nagar experience centre.

Key takeaways

  • Every makeover begins with how you use the car, not with a catalogue.
  • You choose materials in person at our experience centre.
  • You get a clear plan, timeline and quote before any work begins.
  • Nothing leaves the studio until every function and stitch has been checked.

1. The conversation

Every project begins with questions, not catalogues. Who sits in the back? How long are your usual drives? Is the car chauffeur-driven? What frustrates you about it today? The answers decide everything that follows, from the type of VIP seats to the colour of the stitching.

2. The experience

This is why we call ourselves an experience centre. Instead of choosing from photos, you sit in completed cars, run your hand over genuine and vegan leather, and see how a starlight roof looks when the lights go down.

Choosing materials in person is the only way to know how they feel.

3. Design and quote

You receive a clear plan covering what will be done, the materials, a realistic timeline and the cost. If a change could affect your registration, we tell you upfront. Our guide to modification rules explains why that matters.

4. In the workshop

  • Original parts are removed carefully and stored safely.
  • Seats, panels and trim are fitted and upholstered by hand.
  • Wiring for seats, lighting and screens is routed and fused neatly.
  • Exterior work, such as PPF or ceramic coating, is done in a clean, controlled area.

5. Quality check

Before we call you, we test everything: every recline motor, every light, every seat belt, every panel gap and every stitch line. We sit in each seat ourselves. If something is not right, it does not leave the studio.

6. Handover

We walk you through every feature and leave you with simple care advice for your new interior. Our care guide for Delhi weather is a good place to start.

What to bring to your first visit

  • Your car, if possible, so we can measure and look at it together
  • Photos or screenshots of interiors you like
  • A rough idea of who travels in the car and how often
  • Your RC, if the plan may involve seating changes

While your car is with us

We know it is hard to be without your car. That is why timelines are agreed upfront, and why we share progress updates as the work moves forward. You are always welcome to visit and see your car mid-build.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need an appointment?

Walk-ins are welcome, but booking ahead on WhatsApp means a specialist will be ready to spend proper time with you.

Can I choose materials before deciding on the full project?

Yes. Many clients visit first just to see and feel the options, then decide on scope later.

Which days are you open?

Our Kirti Nagar experience centre is open Tuesday to Sunday, 10:30 AM to 8:00 PM, and closed on Mondays.

Exact timelines depend on the car and the materials, and we always confirm them before work begins.
